Currently, Dr. Michael Civin works as a clinical psychologist. More specifically, he is now a senior psychologist at a practice he co-founded in 2008, Rose Hill Psychological Services in the Bronx. Though he has been a practicing psychologist in New York City for the better part of three decades, in reality, Michael Civin Ph.D. has never stopped pursuing his education in psychology. He continues to study his craft, even as he trains the next generation.

In order for his medical career to succeed, Dr. Michael Civin had to gain a lot of education, starting with an A.B. degree cum laude, one M.A. from the University of Oregon and another from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. He became Michael Civin, Ph.D. in 1988 through his doctorate, also from Adelphi, who also awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.
