Michael Civin, Ph.D

Currently, Dr. Michael Civin works as a clinical psychologist. More specifically, he is now a senior psychologist at a practice he co-founded in 2008, Rose Hill Psychological Services in the Bronx. Though he has been a practicing psychologist in New York City for the better part of three decades, in reality, Michael Civin Ph.D. has never stopped pursuing his education in psychology. He continues to study his craft, even as he trains the next generation.

Michael Civin, Ph.D also operates his own private practice in other parts of New York City, including Manhattan, Astoria, and Bayville, since 2007. His current private practice features. working in the field of psychodiagnostics, the branch of psychology that evaluates human behavior through the use of myriad tests. He also practices adult and adolescent psychology, as well as supervision and group psychology. In order for his medical career to succeed, Dr. Michael Civin had to gain a lot of education, starting with an A.B. degree cum laude, one M.A. from the University of Oregon and another from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. He became Michael Civin, Ph.D. in 1988 through his doctorate, also from Adelphi, who also awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy.

Dr. Michael Civin has been a practicing psychologist for more than three decades, so far. Before he embarked on his career, he made sure he had a great education; one that would mark him as a high-quality psychologist. Dr. Michael Civin still spends considerable time in the academic world. He has served as a full professor, an associate professor and as a faculty member in many institutions of higher learning over the years. His fondness for education has led him to published many scholarly articles in medical journals and to author chapters in very important books on psychology.

Michael Civin, Ph.D. started his educational pursuits by earning an A.B. degree with cum laude honors from Harvard in 1968 and followed that by getting his medical education from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1968 and 1969. In 1970, he was awarded his first Masters of Arts degree from the University of Oregon, and he was awarded a second M.A., from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. A few years later, he officially became Michael A. Civin, Ph.D., when he earned his doctorate from Adelphi, which also awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993.
